This socket was made specifically to put up inside the steering column to save time and drilling holes in the floor.

It has a hole drilled right through the socket for the 8mm thread on the column, then it has the socket internal depth go ALL the way up inside the socket to grab any length thread.

Because the socket is made solid, you can linish a bit of the top or off the bottom to custom suit each kart.......

Then, on the other end of the socket is a solid hex to suit a 13mm spanner......

Place socket into steering shaft, affix 13mm spanner....hold steering wheel....and tighten or loosen, what ever is needed.

It suits the 13mm lock nut up inside the column.
